Honky Tonk Summer Jam: Your Bala Home Base

Honky Tonk Summer Jam brings country music and a whole lot of energy to the Bala area every July — and 2026 is no exception. If you’re coming for the music (July 3–4), here’s how to make a weekend of it without the long drive home at the end of the night.

Stay close, keep it quiet. The Dudley Inn is a short drive from the action — close enough to get to the music and back easily, far enough that you’re sleeping in the trees, not in the middle of it. We’re a small, fully renovated boutique motel: eight rooms across seven acres just outside Bala, first built in 1965 and renovated head-to-toe in 2022. See our rooms →

Room for your whole crew. Country weekends are better with people. The Queen Rooms sleep four, and the twobedroom Country Farmhouse gives a group a full kitchen and space to spread out. Travelling as a pair? The King Rooms and the Porch King Suite are made for two. Every room has a comfortable bed, heated bathroom floors, in-room coffee, and contactless check-in — so a late night out doesn’t mean fumbling with a front desk.

Make a full weekend of it. Bala’s worth a daytime wander between sets — grab a bite, walk down to Bala Falls, or just sit still with a coffee. We’re happy to point you to our favourite local spots. Explore Bala →

Book ahead — show weekends go fast. With eight rooms, our busiest nights fill quickly, and a festival weekend is as busy as it gets. If you’re planning to be here July 3–4, lock your room early. See you at the Jam.
